As some of you may know, my wife, Susan, has been diagnosed with a form of ALS. She was diagnosed in 2009 and has shown more strength and courage than I could ever hope for. We, as a team, have done our best to help her learn to live with this disease and stay as independent as possible. She continues to drive herself around, run errands and even attends a "Sit and Be Fit" class twice a week. We would be more than grateful for any assistance you can provide to help fund research for this disease. The "Ice Bucket Challenge" did a wonderful job getting the word out about this disease and some fantastic discoveries have been made due to the fundraising from it, but the need continues and I am hopeful together we can find a cure for this someday. Why We Need Your Help

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.

Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.

ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, though support is bringing researchers closer to an answer.
