The first Saturday in May came and went this year without the annual ALS Walk for the Cure. Thankfully the event has been rescheduled for Wednesday, July 22nd.
It will be a little different this year, as so many things are nowadays, but I do hope you will consider walking with and/or sponsoring At Linda's Side (team name) in memory of my Mom.
In addition to funding the amazing research continuing to be done by the New York Genome Center (http://www.nygenome.org) and over 150 laboratories around the world in 11 countries, we are also walking to raise money for family support services in the metro area. Part of our donations help ALS families get access to much needed care and technology to ease the hardship of this devastating disease.
I know this is a difficult time to ask for your financial support, but I encourage you to consider making a donation. Every $1 helps!
