Team Resist & Persist
Beginning in January of 2015, I noticed I was missing some syllables when I would speak. It wasn't readily apparent to others, but I noticed it. Thus began a very long year of tests of all kind, finally resulting in a diagnosis of ALS that December. Once I was diagnosed, I decided I'm not dying from this disease. I'm going to live as long as I possibly can, and I'm going to enjoy every day I get.
In this vein, I have decided to help raise money for the ALS Association. They helped connect me to the right doctor who finally diagnosed me. They've provided comfort and people to speak with when I was unsure about how to handle certain things. They're good people fighting for a cure and we need to help them.
My family and I are participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS® in Long Branch, NJ on May 21. We would love as many people as possible to join us in the walk or to sponsor our team. Please help us help continue fighting. We are on the cusp of serious breakthroughs, but only continued financial support can maintain this.
