My aunt was extraordinary. She was always on the go, always at every party or event & was a prankster! Everyone who knew her loved her. She was diagnosed with ALS in October 2015. Unfortunately, this disease overwhelmed her and she succummbed to it only a short year later in November 2016. It has been very hard on my family dealing with this loss, as I am sure it is for every family that has to deal with ALS. I decided to name my team Kim's Keepers in honor of my aunt. She was a fighter and her determination to not be beaten by ALS was undeterred.
As this is my fourth year participating in the ALS walk, I want my team to continue to make a lasting impression. We plan to honor my aunt annually by participating in the walk and raising awareness for everyone who is unaware of the devastations that ALS can bring to a family.
Thank you all for any donations!

Why We Need Your Help
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease yet it still costs loved ones an average of $200,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. Help make a difference and donate or join a walk today.
