JULY 25, 2020 UPDATE:
We walked over 2 miles today and raised over $2100 to help the ALS Association continue its mission to help those who have been diagnosed with ALS and their families - THANK YOU!!!
Your support means so much to me and my family, especially my Dad. As you can see in the new photo, Dad held our "Starting Line" ribbon this morning.
I am overwhelmed by the love and support that has been shown through the donations made when I was registered as an individual walker, so I have decided to create a team, so anyone who would like to join me in walking can do so.
Our team, Joe's Walkers {pun intended :-) } is participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS because my Dad, Joseph Carl, has been diagnosed with ALS.
The Walk to Defeat ALS raises funds to support those affected by ALS and their families, and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
This year, because of COVID-19, each participant chooses the location and distance that they will walk. Even though we may not physically walk together, we will do so in spirit. The walk begins at 11:00 - the plan: we will communicate virtually (text, google duo, etc) at the start of the walk, check in with each other at the half-way point (wherever that would be for each walker) and at the finish line.
Please consider joining Joe's Walkers or sponsoring a team member. Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS.
Thank you for your love and support!
