Team Dockstoy..!
Dear Friends and Family,
We are making great strides in treatments for ALS. This year a new drug Radicava was approved by the FDA. This is only the 2nd drug in the past 22 years to be found effective in slowing progression. I plan on starting this form of treatment in August, and can tell you all about it at the walk. There are several phase 3 trials in the pipeline, Brainstorm, Tirasemtiv, Masitinib along with others. It's an exciting time as our hardwork is paying off. The ALS Walkathon is September 26th at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow and we hope you will be able to join with us or to support our efforts to finding the cure for this disease. Their are only 45 days left until the walk. I HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE.
Last year 15,000 walkers were with us truly the "Chorus of a Thousand Footsteps"...! We were recently were acknowledged as a Silver team fundraiser for teams that have raised over $5000. Yay, and I know we can make it to the Gold status with everyone's support. Please send/share my posts with your Friends on Facebook don't just like my post. We can reach so many more people that want to help if you share with your friends and they share with there's.
John will continue to be with us throughout the walk to support us on as he has for many years.
So I ask you to join me in the “Chorus of a Thousand Fooprints”, as we walk this year and every year until we find a cure. On Saturday September 26th at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow.
