Hello family and friends,
As most of you know, my beautiful mom Maria Sconzo passed away on May 24th of this year. She fought a long and courageous battle with ALS that lasted nearly 10 years. Unfortunately, ALS is a not a battle you can win. This fatal disease slowly took movement and independence from my mom each and every day. But in true form, mom lived her life thankful for all that she had left. She did not look back. Her optimism and strength while facing this insidious disease was a lesson for us all.
We will be walking again in honor of her. Please join us for the walk if possible, and donate if you can to help find a cure.

Why We Need Your Help
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
