In November 2014 my best buddy and cousin, Danny Johnson was diagnosed with ALS. He was 53. His ALS progressed very rapidly and he passed away in March 2015. Danny was loved by all who knew him. He was the light of our family, the one who always got the party going, organized family camping trips, was there lend a helping hand if you needed him and the best "uncle" to numerous young people, whether related or not. Not a day goes by that I don't miss him and I know that others feel the same way.
When he was diagnosed, we all became aware of the terrible reality that there is no real treatment for ALS, just make the best of every moment and adapt to ever increasing limitations. This needs to change!!
Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS. Our team is committed to raising money tosupport people in our community with ALS and spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure. Please consider joining our team in the Walk toDefeat ALS® or choose a team member from the list and donate to our cause.
